Manish is Managing Director at Pitney Bowes India and Senior Vice President of Innovation at Pitney Bowes Inc. He is also part of the firm’s Global Strategy team and splits his time between the US and India. Manish is known for setting up Pitney Bowes India R&D and Global Services centers in Noida and Pune from scratch and grew it to 650+ employees strong organization over last 6 years. He launched an accelerator program in India, the first ever in Pitney Bowes, and sixth corporate accelerator in India, establishing PB as Top 10 Software Employer brand in India with 20 national awards as an employer of choice in past 5 years.
He is currently serving on advisory board of some of fast growing start-ups and also on the Board of Catalyst India along with the India CEOs of Citi, Deloitte, Coca-Cola, GE, P&G, IBM & Wipro.
As the Vice President, Engineering, Pitney Bowes Inc., Manish is responsible for establishing and managing the complete range of operations in R&D for Pitney Bowes in various locations across the world including India, where he is also the Managing Director. In his current role, he is responsible for the global R&D portfolio of high growth line of business - location intelligence, spearheading new initiatives and leading global engineering teams. He is also responsible for establishing and managing the complete range of operations, and overseeing the delivery and execution of Pitney Bowes’ R&D, Global Professional Services and Support, based out of Noida and Pune. He is also a part of the Global Strategy team at Pitney Bowes.
Manish has been associated with Pitney Bowes for more than 14 years. He started his journey with the company at its Headquarter in New York. In 2007, he moved to India as an expatriate to start-up the India operations. As the first employee of the company, Manish was responsible for setting up the India operations and lead cross-functional teams to deliver value, consistently, on business goals. Manish has played an instrumental role in shaping the company’s growth to over 600 people strong team within 6 years, with 45+ different software product teams in his leadership and two strategically important centers in the country. Over the years, Manish has built a proven track record of strategy development and driving organizational change and is passionate about innovation, building new businesses and connecting with & developing people. Most recently, he launched a startup accelerator program in India that is aimed at continually building the company’s technology footprint and to accelerate entrepreneurship and inspire software development that speeds innovation and foster business growth. Currently the program has one running batch of 7 startups with the winter batch coming up in January 2015.
And in the journey, the setup has earned 20 top accolades in the country including Great Place to Work 2014, Aon Hewitt’s Top Company for Leaders, DataQuest Top 20, NASSCOM HR awards, Asia’s Best Employer and many more. Manish is an alumnus of Harvard Business School, The Anderson School of Management (UCLA), National University of Singapore and University of Akron, Ohio.
