Chirag Jakhar is an Investment Associate with the venture team at Unicorn India Ventures, where he works on sourcing deals, supporting portfolio companies, and partnering with founders to help scale innovative startups. With experience across consulting, startups, and investing, he brings a well-rounded perspective shaped by both strategic problem solving and hands-on execution.

Before joining UIV, Chirag worked at Nomura Consulting, where he advised Japanese and Indian clients across automotive, renewable energy, power, EV and charging infrastructure, and broader climate-related sectors, while also working on engagements linked to the startup and venture capital ecosystem. His time working with startups added an operator’s lens to his consulting background and deepened his interest in early-stage companies.

A 2022 graduate of IIT Bombay, Chirag is equally passionate about entrepreneurship, sports, and building communities. He has been playing racquet sports for over seven years and served as the Institute Squash Secretary at IIT Bombay. He also co-founded the Culinary Club at the institute, an early reflection of his instinct for building communities from the ground up.
