Kumar Sparsh is part of the investment team at UIV and works out of our office in Mumbai. He comes in with previous stints in quantitative macro investing and entrepreneurship. Sparsh is responsible for working across various operational aspects of the fund's activities.
Sparsh started his career with Nomura, a Japanese investment bank, where he worked with the Quantitative Investment Strategy team. He was responsible for strategy execution along with developing and maintaining rule-based investment strategies across different asset classes. He was also briefly associated with the Credit Value Adjustment team and the Front Office Risk team at Nomura. Prior to that Sparsh has worked on his own venture in the ride-sharing domain where he looked after the day-to-day operations and management of the hardware and the app development teams.
An Aerospace Engineering major with a minor in Entrepreneurship and Innovation from IIT Kharagpur, he has cleared FRM Level 1 and is a CFA Level 1 candidate. Sparsh loves photography and is an amateur debater. He is passionate about the Indian Startup ecosystem and is looking forward to working and interacting with entrepreneurs and early stage start-ups.
