Naveen holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering with specialization in cryogenics from IIT Bombay, where his research focused on the design of a transverse flux linear motor–based dual compressor for cryocoolers used in space applications. He also earned his B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from IIT Gandhinagar.

Driven by a strong interest in translating laboratory innovations into scalable commercial ventures, Naveen has built his career at the intersection of deep technology and venture capital. He is particularly passionate about simplifying complex technologies and communicating them effectively to non-technical audiences.

Before joining Unicorn Ventures, Naveen worked as a CTO at a PropTech startup “Reverence India”, where he led technology efforts to streamline operations and improve forecasting for construction projects, enabling greater transparency and faster decision-making.

Outside of work, he enjoys long-distance running, bike riding, and spending time in libraries exploring books on archaeology.
