CropCoin Technologies, operating under the brand Pehle Jaisa, is India's
first decentralised animal waste-to-organic-fertiliser platform. India
generates 2,600 million tons of animal waste annually, most of it burned
or dumped, while spending over ₹2.55 lakh crore on fertiliser subsidies
and importing synthetic alternatives at scale.
The centralised organic fertiliser industry has historically failed to
solve this because transporting low-density, high-moisture poultry
litter to processing facilities is economically unviable.
CropCoin inverted the model entirely: Waste Processing Units are
installed directly at partner farms, bringing raw material acquisition
cost to near zero and generating gross margins of 40–60% against the
industry average of 25–30%.
Founded in February 2023, the company operates across 10 districts in
Bihar and Jharkhand, has processed 2,000+ MT of waste, sold 2,500+ MT of
fertiliser, and secured ₹4 crore in FY26 advance orders including a
strategic offtake with Dehaat, India's largest full-stack agri platform.
The founding team previously built Eggoz Nutrition to Series C. UIV
invested ₹11 crore in CropCoin's Series A at a pre-money valuation of
₹39 crore.
